Local SEO and Google Maps Marketing

Re: How to use Local SEO and Google Maps for Marketing.

Most consumers search online before making a purchase of a product or service! That means very few people out of every 100 will pick up the phone and call without searching. If you don't have a website or have one that is not ranking on page one, your business is probably invisible to them. Not only that, but when was the last time you saw a phone book? Whats even more shocking is that most people would have picked their company to call before they got to the middle of the page which is the 5th or 6th pick. What that means is that most people do not search on page 2 and beyond. What page is your business on?

The Yellow Pages is the top spot in the Google map! A third of consumers pick the business that is in the number 1 spot. If that's you, you're getting 33 calls or visits for every 100 searches. The number 2 spot gets about 18 calls or clicks to their website and the 3rd spot is getting about 11 calls or clicks from that spot. However, the Yellow phone book is dead. No one is looking in that book anymore. Most people don't look beyond page one of the search engines! That means if you're on page 2, you're getting very little clicks to your website.

Most of the time, the company at the number 1 spot in the map, has an SEO person (Malkam Dior) or company optimizing their online presence, not their cousin Joey who just graduated from high school! They understand that SEO how important SEO is to their business in 2018. SEO is not a one and done activity. It is a daily and weekly activity that has to be done to keep your business in the top spots.
