What I'm interested to tell you about is based on my experience after buying the new Amazon Echo Plus. A few key elements including sound/audio, ease of use, value, design/style, installation, and size are the most important to me.
Easy set-up through Amazon Play song trivia or Jeopardy against your
friends in the home or with others nationwide. Get daily news, sports,
general information, can't spell just ask Alexa. according to Best Buy. As we experienced the sound and audio to be a great system sleek and good sound; would recommend it.
Ease of use makes it great and easy to use. The device is very responsive even with multiple voices giving it
commands. Setup was straightforward, including Bluetooth. The ability to
make a voice call by the command is a great feature, as is the overall integration of the phone functions into the device. The not-so-good: The
device gave a lot of "I'm not sure" answers to some pretty basic
questions. This is probably due to Bing being used as the search engine
for the device instead of Google.
Easy to use because the price provided, I thought that the deal was a good value. I have
the first generation unit as well. A quick comparison of the two from a
sound, look, etc perspective really didn't lead me to think that there
was any noticeable sound improvement nor improved aesthetics. At least
the price for the unit has come down quite a bit and the addition of
Philips bulb for 'free' was a smart move.
Love it, worth the price $149, plays good quality music from amazon music and
iTunes via Bluetooth, podcasts, radio, speaks audiobooks and Kindle
books (remembers where you’re up to), tells you news, weather, traffic
updates, general knowledge trivia such as g to lb conversions, footy
fixtures, footy scores", according to very.co.uk. In addition, the device is very responsive even with multiple voices giving it
commands. Setup was straightforward, including Bluetooth. The ability to
make a voice call by the command is a great feature, as is the overall integration of the phone functions into the device.
Like the style and the slick design with built-in the hub so you don’t need all these other hubs to control
lights. Works seamlessly with the 6 echo dots around my condo. Can play
music from your iTunes or Amazon music through the condo.
The bass is much better on the new Alexa. The echo plus definitely has better sound output over the first
generation and with Amazon adding the “hub” function, this
speaker/device has been nothing but amazing. I’ve ditched the Phillips
smart hub and simply use my echo plus as a smart hub to control all of
my smart devices.
Installation was easy, though it was somewhat difficult to set up the Echo Plus with my Hue system
which was already linked to a bridge/hub it has been working well and
works well with my Nest thermostat. I am impressed with the speakers for
playing music and with the microphones for voice recognition. I am very
pleased with the purchase.
The Plus's speakers are incredible for its size. I read about the echo. I have a dot and echo plus. I like the dot
because of its size. The speaker is better on the plus. It is loud
enough for a room. I wish you get to make a bit louder. I have enjoyed all
the features of the product. You can't go wrong with an echo product.
