Google's 'Year In Search' List For 2020, What You Need To Know - Socialnetworktrends 2021

Unsurprisingly, the 2020 Year in Search results are filled with queries attempting to find answers or make sense of the challenging year we faced. According to a video released alongside the search results, global queries including the word "why," including "why is toilet paper sold out?," were searched more often than in any year before.

Tiger King was the most searched TV show of the year, while 'WAP' was the most searched for lyrics. People also searched the names of those we lost this year, including Bryant, Naya Rivera, Chadwick Boseman, Shushant Singh Raput and George Floyd.

Despite the personal hardships we all dealt with in this unprecedented year, the 'How to Help' search results show many people spent their time on Google looking for ways to help others. Popular searches included ways to help the Black Lives Matter movement, Yemen, Beirut and someone having a panic attack. How to donate blood, plasma and N95 masks were also popular searches this year.

What were you googling this year?
